Education on the Farm

We believe that access to the countryside for everyone is tremendously important and, with the support of Natural England, we have created an exciting education programme to inspire young people and community groups to learn more about farming and care for our environment.

At Hunting Hall, Primary School children can enjoy hands-on, practical activities linked to the National Curriculum; habitats, plants and animals in the local environment, food production, healthy eating and our farming heritage. Our new Farm Resource Centre is a wonderful base for our education programme, with lots of space for indoor activities, toilet facilities, and an excellent cooking area so that children can experience bread making and baking apple crumbles with farm produce. We will work with teachers to put together an individually tailored programme for each school visit. Our Teacher’s Information Pack can be downloaded here.

Secondary school, University students and community groups are also welcome to visit the farm. The farm is an excellent base for environmental studies, guided walks and survey work.
