Group Visits

Booking a visit
We welcome all booking enquiries. In the first instance, please contact the farm and we will discuss your requirements. Teachers are encouraged to make a preliminary visit to look around and meet us. We will draw up a programme for your visit, which will be sent to you before your arrival for confirmation of your requirements.

Visits are free, but you will need to organise and pay for transport and we ask for a donation to cover the cost of craft or baking materials used during the visit.

Equipment you will need
  • Stout boots or wellingtons
  • Indoor footwear for classroom
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Packed lunch (if appropriate)

Health and Safety
A risk assessment will be written for your visit to Hunting Hall. This can be discussed at your preliminary visit.

Discipline is the responsibility of the teacher and not Hunting Hall staff. Children are expected to behave appropriately, particularly near animals and farm machinery.

To avoid the risk of infection, good hand washing facilities are available. Children’s hand washing will be supervised after all outdoor activities.

Cancellation arrangements
If you are unable to carry out your visit, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make alternative arrangements.

Evaluation Form
This visit is provided free of charge. In order for us to be able to claim a payment as part of our Environmental Stewardship Agreement we require that you complete an evaluation form which we will provide. Please take a few moments to complete this form after the visit and hand it to us before you leave.
